Not a disaster

Kristal has always had a very organized and clean house. That desire has rubbed off on me, too, so our house is usually in pretty good shape.

Having a new baby around changes not only the ability to have an organized life but the desire isn't nearly as strong. Surely it will go back to normal a little, but right now, we just don't care as much.

Kristal's folks have been great in this area but the places only we go (bathroom, etc.) are like a tornado hit.

Instead of worrying about it though, Kristal and I are sort of laughing about it.

  1. I think you've got things figured out exactly right :). Here's a poem I'm sure you've heard but one that we definitely took to heart in the first few months on having eden home. I even have a picture of Eden asleep on my shoulder with unfolded laundry piled up in the chair next to us as evidence. Hope it gives you inspiration ;) ...

For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; dust, go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."
Love all the pictures of Ella. She's beautiful!

  3. ONLY the bathroom is a disaster area????? I didn't even recognize my own house under all the mess for the first month :) The first 6 weeks are the hardest and messiest- then you figure out a place to put all the new stuff (and old stuff that got replaced by the new stuff) and life goes back to "normal."
